Структурні особливості англійської прикордонної термінології

Abstract

У статті визначено поняття «прикордонна термінологія» та її роль у підготовці майбутніх офіцерів-прикордонників в контексті євроінтеграційних процесів України. Проаналізовано структурні особливості прикордонної термінології та способи її словотвору. The article defines the notion of «border guard terminology» and its role in the training of future border guard officers in the context of European integration processes in Ukraine. The structural features of border guard terminology and the methods of its derivation are analyzed. According to the structural organization, the terminological units are divided into simple and complex terms and phrases. According to the lexical and grammatical criteria, the terms are divided into nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. The two-component terminological units and phrases prevail among the border guard terminology. Most of the terms are formed by common words, mutual penetration of various spheres and borrowings from international lexis. A large number of neologisms appeared in the terminological vocabulary due to the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine.
