Освітня політика радянської влади на землях Західної України (1939–1941 рр.)

Abstract

Із моменту входження Західної України до складу УРСР на навоприєднаних землях розпочався процес радянізації, що охопив усі складові частини суспільного життя. Одним із її проявів була освітня політика влади. У статті проаналізовано політику радянської влади у сфері освіти на землях Західної України в період 1939–1941 рр., зазначено позитивні та негативні тенденції цього процесу. Since the entry of Western Ukraine into the UkrSSR in the native lands, the process of Sovietization has begun, encompassing all components of social life. The article analyzes the policy of Soviet power in the field of education in the lands of Western Ukraine in the period 1939–1941, distinguishes positive and negative trends of educational policy. The Soviet government made public, free and Ukrainian-language education in the region, but imposed an ideology and a Soviet educational system. In the autumn of 1939, along with the process of sovietization of public-political life, the system of education, which was tested by the Soviet regime in previous years in the eastern and central regions of Ukraine, is actively starting to be introduced. At the same time, there was complete neglect of local and national traditions, religious education was rejected.
