Гадяцький трактат 1658 р.: спроба українсько-польського міжконфесійного діалогу

Abstract

У статті розглянуто спробу вирішення релігійного питання в ході підготовки, підписання та ратифікації Гадяцького трактату 1658 р. між Військом Запорозьким і Річчю Посполитою. Показано складність процесу конфесійного порозуміння між представниками вищої політичної та релігійної еліти козацького Гетьманату й Речі Посполитої «трьох народів». На основі архівних публікацій та історичних досліджень доповнено відомості та підкреслено важливість конфесійних аспектів для здійснення Гадяцької угоди.The article examines an attempt to resolve a religious issue during the preparation, signing and ratification of the Hadiach agreement in 1658 between the Zaporozhian Host and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (Rzeczpospolita). The complexity of the process of confessional consent between representatives of the highest political and religious elite of the Cossack Hetmanate and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth is shown. The compromise character of the project for the transformation of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth into a federation of «three nations» was defined: Polish, Lithuanian and Ukrainian at the expense of the equation ву rights of the Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches and the liquidation of the Greek-Catholic confession on the territory of the planned Grand Duchy of Rus’.
