Польськомовне шкільництво на західноволинських землях у міжвоєнний період

Abstract

Стаття висвітлює зміни, які сталися в системі освіти на Волині після її приєднання до складу Другої Речі Посполитої. Відстежено роль освітньої політики Польщі як інструменту впливу на непольське населення краю. Проаналізовано процес розбудови польськомовного шкільництва (початкового і середнього) у воєводстві, показано його роль у поширенні польських культурних впливів на Волині. Акцентовано увагу на ліквідації владою шкіл з національними мовами викладання та їх заміні польськими та двомовними навчальними закладами. Підкреслено, що в 1920–1930-х рр. система освіти стала одним із засобів інкорпорації західноволинських земель до складу Польської держави.In this article, we examine the changes that were brought to the system of education in Volyn after it was joined to the Second Polish Republic. The role of educational politics of Poland is watched as the instrument of influence on the nonpolish population of Volyn region. The process of Polish (primary and secondary) educational development in a province is analysed and shown its role in the distribution of Polish cultural influences in Volyn. It is paid attention on the liquidation of schools with the teaching in national languages and their replacement by Polish and bilingual educational institutions. We finally sum up that during 1920–1930's, the system of education in the region became one of the means of incorporation of the Western Volynian lands to the Polish state.
