Місце і роль кафедри цивільного права та процесу у структурі юридичного факультету Львівського університету: історія і сучасність

Abstract

В статті визначено місце і роль кафедри цивільного права та процесу в структурі юридичного факультету Львівського університету, проаналізовано етапи її становлення і розвитку. Значну увагу зосереджено на характеристиці розвитку наукової цивілістичної школи, розкрито наукову діяльність найбільш видатних вчених-цивілістів юридичного факультету Львівського університету в галузі цивільного права та процесу. The article defines the place and role of the Department of Civil Law and Proceedings in the structure of the Faculty of Law of Lviv University, analyzes the stages of its formation and development. In the focus of attention are the characteristic features of the scientific civilian school development, the scientific activities of the distinguished scientists-civilists of the Faculty of Law at the University of Lviv. The emphasis is laid on the researches in the domain of Civil law and proceedings, the stages of its development. In recent decades, the main areas of the civilization studieshave been deepened, taking into account the establishment of a rule-based legal state and civil society in Ukraine and transition to market economy. New schoolsof international private law and investment law, corporate law have been formed. Based on the traditions of civil law studies, Lviv University has expanded theresearch scope in the field of property rights, contractual relations. The scholars of the department made a significant contribution to the establishment of family law as an independent branch of law in Ukraine. In terms of the latest scientific studies of the current legislation, scholars of the Department of Civil Law and Proceedings prepared scientific and practical comments on the Civil, Commercial and Civil Procedural Codes of Ukraine.
