Слов’янка-попелюшка в західному світі (на матеріалі тревелогів Л. Олендій «Mia Italia», П. Тодо «Моя Франція» й Т. Сальвоні «Італія. Любов, шопінг і dolce vita»)

Abstract

У статті здійснено компаративний аналіз образу Заходу в тревелогах українки Л. Олендій, польської авторки П. Тодо й росіянки Т. Сальвоні. Охарактеризовано героїнь-слов’янок, які побралися з іноземцями, як носіїв архетипу попелюшки та обґрунтовано, яким чином рецепція героїнями Заходу в період знайомства із краєм різниться від їхнього сприймання регіону на етапі усвідомлення його своїм другим домом.The article deals with the comparative analysis of the image of the West in travelogues by the Ukrainian writer Lesia Olendii, Polish author Patricia Todo and Russian writer Tetiana Salvoni. Slavic female characters married to foreigners have been characterized as the bearers of Cinderella archetype. The article has also justified the way in which the perception of West by the characters during the acquaintance with the region differs from how they see it when imagining it as their second home. The works have been investigated in terms of Mary Loisa Pratt’s conception that singles out two travelogue types, each with its narrative figure. The belonging of a narrator in “Italy. Love, Shopping and Dolce Vita” to the type of a narrator described by the author as the figure of “traditions and customs”, and the narrators in “Mia Italia» and “My France” travelogues have been related to the “sentimental» type. The matrimonial theme in the travelogue with the “Cinderella” protagonist has been identified as constitutive one.
