Мовна політика України в контексті європейського досвіду

Abstract

У статті розглянуто особливості мовної політики України на сучасному етапі, піддано критичному аналізу статті Закону «Про засади державної мовної політики», підкреслено важливість використання досвіду мовного планування європейських країн для вирішення актуальних проблем.The article deals with the research of the peculiarities of the language policy of Ukraine. In the course of studies it has been pointed out that there is a visible inconsistency between functioning of the Ukrainian and Russian languages and other national languages that characterizes a language situation in the country. It has been stated that there is a necessary legislative basis for a successful language policy but the main articles of the Ukrainian Law «About the Basis of the State Language Policy» which have been critically analyzed lack some important statements, so there is a great need in launching a new state program of the development and functioning of the Ukrainian language. It has been underlined that the study and implementation of the European experience in the sphere of linguistic planning which is aimed at the solution of the acute problems are of practical and theoretical value for Ukraine and its language policy.
