Abstract

Досліджуються особливості зародження побратимського руху міст, основні аспекти історичного розвитку побратимської співпраці між містами країн світу. Аналізується діяльність головних організацій та інших різноманітних об'єднань міст, що допомагають органам місцевого самоврядування ефективніше брати участь у міжнародних та внутрішньодержавних зв'язках міст.The genesis of the twin-city movement among cities and its specific nature, main aspects of the historical development of the twin-city cooperation among cities of the world countries are examined here. Activities of major organizations and any various associations of cities which help the bodies of local self government to participate efficiently in the international and domestic intercourses of cities are analyzed in the article too.
