Digital-age education involves preparing the future generation for increasingly automated economies and systems. Artificial intelligence in education is an integral part of effectively improving the learning process. Effective foreign language acquisition in foreign language classes at higher education institutions requires the active use of AI. The use of AI enables adaptability and personalization of the learning process, as well as provides for independent assessment of students' knowledge and satisfies the desire for globalized learning. However, AI should take the role of an assistant in foreign language classes to avoid negative consequences.uk_UK
