Історичні етапи становлення та основні напрями діяльності товариства «Просвіта» на Далекому Сході

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано етапи становлення та напрями культурно-освітньої діяльності товариства «Просвіта» на Далекому Сході. Дослідницьку увагу сфокусовано на питаннях, повʼязаних із векторами роботи організації щодо збереження культурної ідентичності українців. Проаналізовано аспекти видавничої діяльності. Висвітлено особливості політичного буття «Просвіти».The article analyzes the main stages of development and cultural and educational directions of the Ukrainian Prosvita society in the Far East. The researchers paid much attention to the issues of the organization’s activities on preserving cultural identity of Ukrainian migrants who lived in that region. The main directions of the educational work of the society are revealed: organization of practical lectures, folk lore events, and cultural parties dedicated to Ukraine, theatrical shows based on Ukrainian traditions, celebration of Ukrainian historical events. Some aspects of the editorial activity are analyzed, especially, printing and delivery of papers in Ukrainian, which made a positive influence on national identity preservation.
