Ненадійний наратор в оповідній структурі містичного твору: ознаки й різновиди

Abstract

У статті схарактеризовано найважливіші концепції ненадійної нарації; проаналізовано різні підходи до цієї проблеми, ознаки й різновиди ненадійного наратора. На прикладі повісті В. Шевчука «Початок жаху» досліджено таку наративну стратегію, як уведення образу першоособового ненадійного наратора – «одержимого», – та розглянуто художні функції використання цієї стратегії.The article touches upon the problem of the reader's doubts and hesitations as an attributive feature of the fiction genre. We study one of the means conditioning the character’s / reader’s hesitation about the nature of the events narrated, – reader’s perception the narrator as unreliable. The article gives an overview of the most important concepts of unreliable narration, explore the different approaches to this problem in the Ukrainian and foreign literary criticism discourse, analyzes attributesand types of unreliable narrator. In the example of the story by V. Shevchuk «Starting of terror» the kind of homodiegetic unreliable narrator – «obsessed» – is investigated. The changes in the reader’s reception of the work are analyzed depending on the text markers of the unreliable narrator. It was found that the use of the image of the unreliable narrator is a narrative strategy helps the reader to understand the author’s intent.
