Сучасні підходи до вивчення термінології

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано сучасні роботи, які стосуються термінології з позиції функціонального, прагма¬тичного та когнітивного підходів. Дослідження контекстуальних, прагматичних та когнітивних особливостей термінологічної одиниці дає змогу вивчати термін як динамічне лексичне утворення, що може набувати та розвивати своє значення в процесі реального використання в різних комунікативних ситуаціях, що, у свою чергу, дає змогу поглибити, розвинути та доповнити науково-дослідницьку базу термінології. The article regards modern theoretical resear¬ches in the sphere of terminology from functional, sociocultural, pragmatic and cognitive perspectives. The analysis of modern researches shows the incompleteness of conventional terminological theory due to its obsessive focus on systematization and standardization of technical terms aiming at reducing misunderstanding in sphere of scientific and technical communication. The article highlights that using contextual analysis as well as regarding pragmatic and cognitive peculiarities of a term in fields of its usage helps to study it as a dynamic lexical formation that acquires and develops its meaning accordingly to a context and a real communicative situation.
