Linguistic Categorization in Natural Language Processing Systems

Abstract

Стаття присвячена вивченню основних рис когнітивної категоризації, проведено паралелі між когнітивною та лінгвістичною категоризацією, здійснено порівняльний аналіз категорій традиційної та комп’ютерної лінгвістики. Проаналізовано категоріальні механізми автоматичного розпізнавання лінгвістичних параметрів одиниць мови на матеріалі корпусу COBUILD і Британського національного корпусу. The article highlights the specific features of cognitive categorization and linguistic categorization. The comparative analysis of the Traditional Linguistics categories and the categories of Computational Linguistics has been carried out. The mechanisms of categorical processing of the linguistic parameters are carefully analyzed on the material of COBUILD corpus and the British National Corpus.
